Kennedy Agyapong is trending on all media avenues available for a few days now. Not for building a library for a community. Not for being a flag bearer of a political party and definitely not for being the EC.

At least he was honest and bold enough to speak out what most Ghanaians – including our fellow women- are thinking.  How could he utter such abomination? How can Ghanaians have this abominable thought?

Indirectly, we are being told WOMEN can, will and shall never achieve a feat without having to pay back in ‘kind’?

Are we even serious at all? Do we even believe in what we profess? I am 100% sure that almost every Ghanaian can recite ‘….. If you educate a woman, you educate a whole nation’ off head. Yet when an educated woman is up there doing her job, all thoughts, professions and prophecies of the girl child leading the nation are forgotten.

This ‘glass ceiling’ thing is barbaric. I just think far. Are they saying when I become the president of all the various institutions, and societies – PSGH – and the country as whole, I will be subjected to the same fate? Masa make you no try am. Cos I wouldn’t allow that.

Is he implying that after the scared, shaking and incompetent men ravished Deborah and Abigail in the Bible, they gave them the go ahead to save their people, not only women, from destruction? Even Queen Esther didn’t use that tactic to get her ‘husband’  to listen to her.

When Yaa Asantewaa was toiling to mobilize people to fight the British, where were the men?

The reason we think the way we are do is because we are refusing to accept change. Grow up merhn ,times change.  We gotta accept that women are in the picture now.

We are not saying we are better than you. We are not saying we would not submit to you. We are just saying don’t limit us. Don’t attribute our achievements to various vices. We have the brains, passion and qualities just like you to reach for greater heights.

Yes there are women that are using that avenue to get what they want. But that is because it was demanded of them. Mind you, I am not in support of this act.

Ps: Ladies please stop disgracing us yh. You have the brains use them.
